So the bad news is that arriving at the DFW airport it became obvious VERY fast that my suitcase full of sandals and summer dresses was NOT going to work in the 53 degree (F) weather.

The good news is that, despite it being Sunday - there's stores that are open here!

That may not seem like a big deal to most of you but when's the last time you had to get all your food shopping done before Saturday because all the stores are closed over the weekend?
As a matter of fact, when is the last time you couldn't get a latte, new leather boots, pull-ups and a new sofa-bed all in the same shopping trip?

But then again, when is the last time you went outside in your bikini in December without even considering the possibility that it MIGHT be too cold to wear one?  I guess I'll take my little island over your 24 hour Wal-Mart any day.
