Why Snap - Crackle - Scream is never good!

Apparently this is the week of Island Boy.
He had his birthday party on Saturday, Sunday we almost made the show "I shouldn't be alive" with the 5ft Barracuda visit and on Thursday will be his actual birthday.

So last night after dinner, all was in calm down and we were cleaning up dinner when something like SNAP - CRACKLE - SCREAM came out of the kids bedroom - followed by a kid running.
That can mean only one thing, as the only kid I have that runs when in pain is Island Boy.

It took about 10 minutes to get him to be still long enough for us to see what had happened.
Yup, the bulge on the top of his finger and blue, purple and red was a clear indication of a fracture. (I am a part time Doctor after all).  That would be his second, since he broke his thumb earlier in the year.

Of course these things never happend during the day and never when the next day is a business day.  Today is Separation Day, which is when Anguilla threw the Royal St. Kitt's police force off the island and separated from St. Kitt's and Nevis.  So with everything closed, we had to come up with a way to keep the finger from moving.

But fear not, the all time fracture champion, with a total of 43 fractures - Doctor Daddy has the answer.
Ok, perhaps not the answer but something close to it if you squint your eyes a bit.
So after a short visit to our very own home improvement store (the workshop) the Doctor emerges with transparent duct tape, a PVC pipe and an evil grin.

A few minutes later and a glace by Island Boy that said something like "Mom, are we sure about this?", Island Boy has his new stint and an evil grin himself.

Why?

Because he realized that slowly but surely he is creeping up on Doctor Daddy's 43 fractures record.
