Culture Shock

Culture Shock is going from the below in 80 degree weather, driving on the left, and rarely seeing more than a handful of people at the same time ....

...to this in 40 degree weather, strong winds and WAAAY too many people and places in one place ....

...all within 24 hours/2500 miles!

Even though you'd think I'd be used to how things work in the US, it takes me about a day to adjust every time I travel.  The sheer number of things/commotion/pace of life here usually causes a slightly overwhelming feeling.

Good thing it only takes me a few hours to get used to to driving on the right again, which turns out to be a real "essential" around here.

Culture Shock! Your are absolutely right on this one. I have had similar experiences and every time that I get back to the states it seems as if everything is moving 1,000,000 miles an hour. Other cultures seem too move slower with less of a rush hour mentality. The driving thing is difficult too, as I usually drive slower in other countries with WAY more traffic circles. Back again!
