Why David Chicken is a Superhero

Where do I begin....
...a few years ago, Lance introduced me to this graphic artist who turned out to also be a kid's entertainer on the side.  I thought his costume was lame and told him so (I know that probably shocks you), and one thing led to another and I made him a new costume, Explora made him a chicken guitar and we recorded a few songs and a video together and I became his "sister in spirit" Shelley.
So when he had his CD Premier at the Irving Art Center, I had to find a way to make the 2500 mile trip.

The show was absolutely fantastic and it was definely David's biggest production ever, which included an 8 piece mariachi band and the inaugural performance of his backup singers, the "Chickadees".

For those of you that have never been to a David Chicken show - it's unlike anything else you've seen or heard. His music is smart (no offense to the Wiggles), it's rock n'roll, it's ska, it's rap, it's COOL!
The beauty of the show is that it gets you shaking your booty and the kids get to come on stage while their parents dance in the isles.  The energy is great, the songs are fun but what made my day was how this little girl oogled over my pink and glittery, feathery outfit (and my Pippi Longstocking hair)!

She wanted to be JUST LIKE Shelley Chicken, singing and dancing and making cool music when she grew up!  What a cool way to be a role-model!
And David, thanks for letting me be a tiny part of your magic machine, I finally understand exactly why you put such an insane amount of effort in this stuff!
