Our Last First Holiday

Easter was our last "first" holiday on the island, as there is nothing else I am aware of between April and June.  You'd think almost a year in nearly constant 70 - 75 degree weather would get us used to it, but it seems we forgot about the Easter Sunday outside temperature slightly.  I don't think the kids minded having to find MELTED chocolate eggs in unusual locations such as the palm and frangipani trees.

After the hunt, we played a new, soon to be Annual Game of "Easter Charades".  While in Houston last week, where they have real stores, I picked up a box of eggs filled with gum (how did those smart people know I was going to take them to a hot place?) and little notes with an animal and an action.  For example, we all had to silently act out things like "wiggle your nose like a bunny", "sting like a bee"....

or "kick like a donkey" and "peck like a chicken".

The winner got to eat a piece of candy and for once I was glad to be the ONLY family photographer!

If you send me your address along with your guess of what animal and action is being acted out here, I'll gladly mail you a piece of candy
