Boiling it Down - Part III
(I am posting these entries in a back-dated way so they remain in order when reading)
Beauty of Your Surroundings
Undoubtedly one of the things that is unique about Anguilla is the gorgeous surroundings.
The beaches are some of the most stunning in the world and I always thought that that is a reason why people here treat each other so differently.

I also know that I feel differently when I travel back to the US, specifically when I look out the window and see only pavement, metal and hurried people.
But the more I started thinking about this and comparing the two places during my drive across Texas, the less differences and validity to that argument I actually saw....
Texas is covered with cattle - Anguilla is full of goats, Texas has pretty green trees while Anguilla has palms, Texas has bluebonnets while Anguilla is covered in Bougainvillea's..... if you really bother looking, you'll see beauty in both.
If you condense it down to size, Texas is the same as Anguilla and as a matter of fact, so is Switzerland, and if you are merely interested in looking, you will even see beauty in the architecture of a concrete city.
So what is it then? What makes our global cultures so different?
How hard you look for beauty?
How content you feel about where you live?
