"Mom, I want short hair"is what Lola told me no sooner than making it in our front door, last night after coming home from work.

I was stunned!  Lola?  The Dancer?  Short hair?

Now Pickles brings me the clippers all the time asking me to shear her hair all off and I usually manage to talk her into a compromise of sheared a tiny bit in the back, with a bob over it. But Lola? 



This is the girl that waves her blonde pig tails around all the girls with dreads at school, the girl that thinks she IS Barbie - inclusive of her long blonde hair.

But regardless of what I think, Lola does get to decide what she would like her hair to be like and I have to cut it like that, if I don't, we all know what happens.....(she does)

So after asking her about 30 times, explaining how her hair would grow back, but not fast....  off it goes!

She was a bit shocked at first (joke)...  but then was very happy with her very own hair-style - the Lola Shag!



Lola is very proud of her new hair cut, and her favorite part about it, is the fact that it gets attention.

Let's just hope that it stays that way or else I will have to explain how slowly hair grows, 30 times over.
If that doesn't work, then I am fully prepared to find the very resourceful Lola hiding in a corner, with some glue and this....
