One More Reason Why I Love This Place

Anguilla is fairly advanced in many respects (note my online status right now), but in some, it's just might as well be 1950.   One of those really annoying things about the island is that practically nobody takes anything other than cash.
 - I NEVER HAVE ANY CASH -
And most recently, this problem was made even worse, when someone (*cough*TheLocalBank*cough*) apparently handed out FAKE $100 and $50 USD bills at it's ATM.  This has caused ALL stores on the island to not accept either, which means that even IF I got cash, it would be useless, as the ATM by default spits out 50's and 100's.

But where was I..... ok, so, yes, I know about the cash thing and no, I still don't carry any with me, despite living here for a year now.  So as we were at the pharmacy yesterday, trying to get cream for a skin infection the girls are having - I was once again SOL.  No cash.

But wait - they ACTUALLY take credit cards!  WHOA!
Great, whip out that baby, for all of my $6 USD purchase and off we go....
....well, not exactly, as 15 minutes later and 3 attempts later to make a connection to any US bank, the machine just wasn't working.
So the pharmacist said:
"Your kids look like they're getting very impatient, why don't you just take the cream and bring me the money whenever you get a chance"
She didn't have my name, phone number and for all she knew, I don't even live here.

I love this place!
