Fire, Swiss Bread, Chocolate, Explosions, Starbucks, Naked Men Flying Through The Rain, Motorcycle, and Flying Boats...

... what else could you possibly want fit in 48 hours!?!

Yesterday we went to the chocolate factory and I bought 5 times th legal import limit worth of chocolate

Then we went to the grocery store (which is like Schlaraffenland to me) and I pointed at anything remotely Swiss and ordered one of everything. And as I was standing in front of the gorgeous bakery I asked the lady if I could take a picture.  And for those of you that don't know much about the Swiss, here a perfect summary - she said
"Jo, aber nöd mit dänä Broot äso zunder-opsi!" - meaning - "yes, but not with all the bread in such a mess."
You know what she was referring to as "such a mess"?

Look at the two breads on the second shelf on the top on the right, the one's that are almost sideways.
In the land of the meticulous... THAT is NOT the Swiss way to photograph bread!! ("Die spinnen ja die Schweizer")

Later in the evening I met up with my great friend of 18 years, which even cooked me dinner in the coolest loft you've ever seen!  He has been building boats and kajaks by hand for many years and recently also started sailing, so I'm trying to convince him to spend the Winter in Anguilla.

That brings us to today....
Today we went to Zürich to meet an old (am not describing her age) friend, the sister of my first boy-friend to be exact, at whose house I had my first "woo, I'm drunk - puke" experience.  I am so glad we met in the first place, much less managed to hook up the first time in 12 years!

Then my brother came and we had a loverly dinner with one of his friends and his girlfriend and I got to pay 8SFR (about 6 dollars) for a Starbucks coffee.

Did I mention it's been raining here every day, almost all day and it's freezing cold?????
As in "all the Summer clothes I brought are worthless" kind of cold?
Although that didn't make our theater experience with my Mom and her best friend in Winterthur any less of an amazing experience.  We saw "Silo 8" an amazing show about getting old and being in a nursing home of the future.  If you live anywhere close to Switzerland, you HAVE TO GO see it, it's a truly thought provoking experience and reminded me a little bit of Cirque du Soleil from the "these are sights I've never seen" perspective, except most of it was "auf Schwiizerduetsch".

(Spoiler alert - if you haven't seen the play but are planning to, do not read on)
There was fire, explosions, disco dancing, merry-go-rounds, an evil Doctor on stilts, naked people flying through the air, motorcycle races, floating boats and two gigantic horizontal containers that ended up catching fire and falling over.  All that with some very interesting messages and in my experience, the best plays are those that make you laugh while at the same time making you cry.  So we sat there..... freezing in the rain.... laughing and crying...

This has been the first day in the 377 I've lived in Anguilla, that I was sad about not living in a place where I can enjoy those kinds of things whenever I want to.
