The US Through a Child's Eyes

As you may know by now, Lance and I have house-swapped and we're in his house in Dallas, while he's living in our house in Anguilla.  You may also know that we moved to the fairly primitive Anguilla 14 months ago, with just 12 suitcases, which should altogether explain the kids reaction to the "new again" America:

Lola, every 15 minutes with wide eyes and amazement, in her fading Anguillian accent: "Mommy, look!  An AIRPLANE!"

Island Boy upon entering Lance's house: "Wow, check it out, they actually have toys"

Pickles while driving around Dallas and endless strip malls: "Look over there - they have stores here.... and here.... and there's another one!"

Lawya: "This country is nice because it doesn't go bump bump bump (imitating hitting huge pot holes in the road) all the time."

Pickles at the pool: "I don't know how to swim in this funny water"

Lola, after some Mom with a baby yelled "DANGER, DANGER" in the kiddie pool because her daughter had a leaf (with potential germs on it) in her hand: "Did you see a shark?  We see baby sharks all the time and I held one once, but he was dead"

Curious to see their reaction to the "new again" quiet and boring Anguilla when we get back.
