Dear American Airlines....
....so what exactly is it about me that you don't like?
Is it the way I try to smuggle mascara through security sometimes?
Is it that I show up with overweight suitcases sometimes?
It was just a simple flight this afternoon... Dallas to Houston... an hour and five minutes.... short and painless and just in time for dinner.
Don't get me wrong.... I get the part about the "bad weather in Houston".... but remind me again why we had to wait on the runway IN DALLAS for hours?
Is it that my feet smelled when I took off my shoes after sitting there on the runway for 1.5 hours that made you give us an ETA of another 2 hours waiting on the runway?
Did I dump an air traffic controller in a previous life that made you tell our pilot to go back to the gate after sitting on the runway for 2 hours?
Please tell me.... is it the fact that I look at Continental's fares from time to time?
Seriously... we can talk through this, I know we can!
I mean any one else could have driven to Houston in the time it took me to take your "simple" 1 hour flight.
I could have driven there and half-way back in the 5 hours it took me to get to Houston with your airline.
Wait.... is it my speeding in a car that upsets you and somehow makes you feel inferior?
It's my blogging, isn't it..... or is it my pending Platinum status that's got you scared?
Listen, all I ask is that you tell me NOW what I keep doing to get so screwed around (in a bad way) by you.... 'because in just 4 more days I will attempt to travel 2500 miles to Anguilla with 6 people, four of them under the age of 10 and 12 suitcases.... and I would really appreciate if we could keep it simple and quick.
No re-routings through Anchorage..... no lost luggage.... no 3 hours waits on the runway.
