Fall

This morning at breakfast there were 5 shivering people, all asking for blankets.

I know Fall is here and I also know that everyone's adjusted to living in high temperatures without air conditioning, but COME ON PEOPLE, it's still 75 degrees/23 Celsius!!!!!

Cold is when you have to ride your moped for 10km, in a 5 degree (-15 c) snow storm to go to all girls Catholic High School ...... in Switzerland in the Winter..... uphill both ways....  (God, I feel old)

Seeing how the "coolest" it gets here all year is 70 degree (21 c) and the hottest is 89.7 (32 c), I really don't think 75 (23 c) qualifies as remotely cold, although I'm sure the locals are about to break out their Winter jackets - seriously!

Well, I gotta run and go to the beach, if I can convince the other 5 to get in the "freezing" cold water, which is still slightly below body temperature! (shaking my head)

i can empathise with the 5 people. I've got used to the temps over here, and due to it raining most of the day today, i've felt cold. I'm now sat here in a sweattop, jogging bottoms and thick socks, drinking a cup of hot, steaming tea.

It was 36 F this morning when I took the wee one to the sitters. I had to have the seat warmers turned onto High!

Hate is such a strong word, Sean..... and just look on the bright side... my kids don't remember what snow looks like and our Christmas Day involves going swimming on the beach.  We also don't ever get to use seat warmers or enjoy a hot cup of cocoa - wouldn't you miss all that?
