Second Language
English isn't my first language and while I've learned to muddle my way through, last night was evidence that lots of people out there could use some English language resources:
- For the German Rastafarian guy, here an English/German idiom translator that will make our next conversation much easier. (And yes, I had to look "idiom" up.)
- For the Scottish guy that was talking to my Dad's girlfriend, until she turned around and said "what language is he speaking", perhaps these guys will add a Scottish-English translator.
- And for the local, technically English speaking Anguillian, "ting" is a drink, "thing" is an object. And no, "hey, sexy white ting" isn't a proper English sentence, no matter how you look at it!
