Lotusphere2008

Before I accidentally ended up a "geekette",  I was supposed to be a graphic artist... which was right after I was supposed to be a rock-star.

So as I listened to the newest and terribly informative Taking Notes Podcast earlier today, I got VERY EXCITED!
My geeky/rock star/graphic artist hero ZEFRANK is going to be part of the newly created Lotus Salon event at the upcoming Lotusphere2008!

That brings the list of stuff I'm excited about to:
  • seeing and spending my time with friends from all over the World again
  • being selected as a speaker not only once, but twice!
  • proving in the most embarrassing way at JamFest exactly why I didn't become a rock star
  • organizing a Women's Champaign Breakfast event
  • possibly doing a few "UI Make Over's"
  • actually being able to see more than 1 1/2 sessions since this is my first year with my own full conference badge
  • working with local rainmakers, to make sure we don't have to witness thousands of soaking wet geeks in rain coats again at the Wednesday night park party
  • SpeedGeekDating again (little joke there)
  • the "eat wherever" thing, although I never really have time to eat at LP
  • sleep depriving myself on a nightly basis to the point of silly by about Wednesday night
  • and last but not least, I am excited about LotusSalon!!
While I have no idea what Lotus Salon will be like, I'm imagining an interactive, creative and one of a kind event while the other half of the Lotusphere attended watches the opening session.  I'm very curious to see Daniel Seeburg (sp?), Golan Levin, Jane McGonegol and ZeFrank do their thang!

Now if I could just solve that "walking 15 miles a day" and "only 24 hours per day" thing, I'd be in Lotusphere heaven!
