See You on the Other Side...

Omar is moving slower than expected and hasn't reached Puerto Rico yet, but the hurricane has reached winds over 105 mph, which means it's a category two and according to the National Hurricane Center, Omar is supposed to be "a strong category two by the time by the time it reaches the Northern Leeward Islands".

The bread I made earlier is now baking, since the grocery store was completely picked clean with an angry mob at the bakery counter waiting for more and we're as ready as we'll ever be.
I'm tired but while we still have power we will go watch a movie with the kids, during which I plan for all of us to fall asleep.
Am turning off the alarm clock, as I'm counting on Omar to come knocking on my door and windows, waking me up.

Night all!

thanks for doing such a great job keeping us all posted on your family. I suppose any silence in the next few days will be due to the power outages. I am sorry you are experiencing Omar - but feel confident you guys will ultimately be okay and have lots of tales to tell upon the restoration of your power.

    Take care!

Thanks Jamie and everyone else, will suspect nothing will happen until at least 3am if not later and then my cell phone battery should make it possible for me to send signs of life, pending cell phone availability.... which reminds me.... think there's a way to email to the blog, will look into that now...

    Hey Francie -

Thoughts and prayers from down here to you guys. Omar is stronger than Dean was last year so I know first hand and being prepared is the best thing.

Hunker down and see you on the other side
